InspireUK - Educational
Programme 2024
Because everyone deserves the right to access tailored mental health support.
InspireUK - The Charity, a leading mental health charity on a mission to help everyone access the support they need, is delivering an online education programme on mental health for young adults aged 18-30 from black and other ethinically diverse backgrounds in the UK.
Research shows that young adults from vulnerable communities are facing disadvantages in accessing mental health education and support - and this particularly affects those from black and other ethnically diverse groups. They are more likely to be diagnosed with a mental health problem; seek help in a crisis situation and in A&E; be admitted to hospital with a mental health problem (Gov UK, 2019). InspireUK - The Charity want to address and help tackle these mental health inequalities by providing this demographic with mental health support via The InspireUK Online Mental Health Education Programme.
